Facilities and amenities such as the park shelters, the pool, and picnic tables are available for rental for special events, and social functions such as showers, parties or family reunions. Below is information regarding facilities and amenities, reservations and rentals.
Galva Park District Reservations
The swimming pool and the pavilions located at Galva Park District may be reserved. See Pool and Shelter (Pavilions) Reservation form. Call the Galva Park District to check availability.
Municipal Park Reservations
The pavilions at Washington and Wiley Park may be reserved for social functions such as showers, parties or family reunions. Veteran’s Park may be reserved for special events and social functions, but keep in mind that Veteran’s Park does not have a pavilion or bathroom facilities.
If you DO NOT reserve Wiley, Veteran’s or Washington Parks with City Hall, certain amenities may not be available because of lack of knowledge that an event is happening. Amenities may be locked or not stocked, I.E. water hydrants locked or soap and toilet paper dispensers empty. DO NOT CALL AFTER HOURS TO HAVE THINGS UNLOCKED OR FILLED IF YOU DID NOT RESERVE ONE OF THE PARKS.
For Washington, Wiley and Veteran’s Park reservations follow these steps:
- Check availability via the calendar below or by calling the Clerk’s office at City Hall during normal working hours (M-F 8am – 4:30pm, excluding holidays)
- Read the Rules for Reserving and Using Galva’s Municipal Parks.
- Fill out a Municipal Park Reservation Application and submit it to the Clerk’s office at City Hall. There is a $25 refundable deposit and the reservation application is required.
