GALVA’S 2nd CLEAN UP WEEK 2026
NOTE: Proof of residency will be required.
The City of Galva will be having a 2ND clean-up week October 28th-October 31st for Galva residents only.
All residents are asked to bring items to Galva’s Maintenance Yard (use the driveway located between the old Preferred Home Health Care and East End Table & Tap) to be placed in a roll off dumpster.
Anyone who is handicapped, elderly, or not able to take their items to the maintenance yard can call City Hall and someone will assist them with scheduling a pick up. You must call City Hall at 932-2555 before October 26th to schedule a pick up, items will not be picked up if it is not scheduled. Please make sure you only call for pickups if it is needed, staff is limited. Assistance will only be available Wednesday October 28th for pickups. We will only come to your residence one time for pick up and items must be on the curb, no backyard or structure pickups at all.
Items not accepted are shingles, anti-freeze, LP tanks, yard waste, paint, or any hazardous material. Tires will be accepted for a fee depending on their size.
Televisions and electronic components will be accepted for a fee at Eagle Enterprises during their normal business hours. Their number is 932-2936 if you have any questions.
The maintenance yard will be open extended hours October 28th and October 29th from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to allow better response to clean up. October 30th the yard will be open from 7a.m.-3:00 p.m. and October 31st the yard will be open from 7:00a.m. to noon.
