In accordance with the Illinois Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), the City of Galva and its Police Department are committed to transparency by providing public access to government records. Every public body is required to permit inspection or, upon submission of a written request, to provide copies of any requested records that are subject to disclosure under the act. When copies are requested, the public body may charge fees reasonably calculated to reimburse it for the actual cost of reproducing any certifying public records.
There are two different FOIA Officers and Forms for Galva. One for City records and one for Police records. You may pick up the FOIA Forms at City Hall, or via download them via the Applications page.
