The Economic Development Committee (EDC) was formed to assist existing industry in their ongoing operations and to recruit new industry into Galva and the surrounding area. The EDC members are made up of members from the business community, Galva aldermen, the Galva City Administrator, by virtue of his office, and the Galva Mayor, by virtue of his office as a permanent member.
The EDC is charged with providing relevant assistance, counsel, and services to the City and cooperation in the encouragement, stimulation, and improvement of the general business community through the promotion of trade, commerce, industry, residency, and quality of life in Galva and the surrounding area.
